I could be a vegetarian, but there are things I would miss. I don't regularly eat chicken wings, but with the Super Bowl around the corner, they are advertising them like crazy. I also like bacon on occasion, but again it's not anything I couldn't do without. It seems like they have made vegetarian alternatives for lots of things, of course I'm not sure how they taste.

I don't think people will become vegetarians because of the price of meat. I must admit that the prices on meat are pretty steep but I will continue to buy it because I just love meet. Hopefully, one day the prices will be lowered so that people can feed their families and ensure they get the proper nutrients in their body. Part of the reason why Americans rely on foods that are not healthy is because they seem to be the cheapest. I am guilty at buying a food because it was cheap. America needs to make some changes and fast.

They taste great, but I would warn you about consuming too much of those alternatives because packaged food is packaged food. The best way to approach becoming vegetarian would be to just eat more vegetables. The difference between fruits and vegetables and meats, poultry, etc., is that most can be eaten as is without the need for seasoning or other flavoring.

The same can not be said for meat or even fish. This means that people don't really know what meat tastes like. There is also the texture issue; meat has to be tenderized or otherwise prepared in a way that makes it easy to chew. Once upon a time people had to eat what they could get. In the modern world we have choices, and those choices should be to go with what gives the best nutrition.

I don't think people will all become vegetarians. I just think they'll start doing what the Chinese do and using meat as a garnish. When you look at Chinese food, it's mostly rice and vegetables with a little meat. That's probably what most people will end up doing. Either that or making soup with a little meat in it.

People might cut back on meat, but I can't imagine all humans going completely vegetarian, at least not in my lifetime.

My fiance and I have been talking about the transition to becoming vegetarians. The cost of quality meat is quite high and finding a store that sells quality meat is a task as well. Not to mention the hormones being injected into the animals as well. It may sound far fetched but I have always dreamed of owning a large piece of land to grow my own fruits and vegetables. And I love getting fresh produce from the farmers markets. I have made plenty of delicious vegetarian meals, the only thing is learning to transition and making sure your body gets the proper nutrients it needs. I find fish to be safe, but even still you have to watch out for the type of fish you purchase.

I can see more people moving to reducing the about of meat they eat if not removing meat all together from their diet. I am not a big meat eater so eating fruit and vegetables only is not a problem for me

In our house we eat meatless meals at least twice a week. Beans are a big staple in our house.

I wish I can be a full pledged vegetarian because I know it's such a healthy lifestyle. It's just really hard when I already grew up being a meat-lover. Sigh... but I guess it's not too late for a change and being a vegetarian would also mean that I'm going to save a lot! Food are more affordable with that lifestyle.

Have some meat per day. Not too much. keep nutrition balanced. By the way, I like fish very much.

Yes XoHum I agree with you on this subject.
I used to eat quite some meat, but take less now for quite some time already.
I want to taste meat with a meal, but don't need a big piece of it.

And referring to the initial question: Will we all become vegetarians? Well, I can't imagine quitting meat altogether. I just need to taste it every day.
