For those who fly during the holidays, when do you typically book your flights for Thanksgiving to get the best deals? I'm probably going to be booking mine soon, but a quick search is telling me that last year, the cheapest day to book was June 2! I know I always fly out on Wednesday evening and return on Sunday, which is the most expensive option. It's worth it to me because I can't necessarily take more time off from work and I want to spend as much time as possible with family. So, what have you done to get good Thanksgiving deals?
Booking 60-90 days in advance will usually give you the cheapest fares available. Since you've already missed the option of looking in early June (if that really was the cheapest day last year) then start looking as soon as the 90 day window opens. I have had a lot of success with this strategy for both domestic and international flights.
