Do you remember how food tasted and looked just a few years ago? It makes me wonder if food is really natural or it's already lab produced these days. I remember for example apples, we took a bite and just a few seconds later it was oxidated. Now we eat the Apple and we can leave it overnight that there is no oxidation, is this magic?...

Well, most imported fruit or vegetables are engineered and treated with all kinds of substances to make them last until they are shipped and sold. The main selling point is their looks, they look big and healthy but have no taste. But try buying the cheaper and ugly looking fruits that are produced locally and you'll be amazed by their glorious taste. This goes for meats too. If you eat chicken for example, chicken that was grown by a farmer at a low pace you'll find that it tastes better than the one grown in mass farms.

That's strange what is happening to your apples, though perhaps they were just a bit more acidic or something like that, which prevented the browning as quickly? That's relatively normal for some apples to be far more sour than others, especially depending on what type you get. It doesn't necessarily mean it is anything nefarious or dangerous.

I've noticed in general, when buying produce from farmers markets, that it does in fact go bad a lot quicker than when I would buy stuff from the traditional grocery stores. The big name stores will have the produce irradiated and/or coated with stuff like wax to help keep it fresher longer, whereas the farmers markets don't do this. However, overall I would say the produce from the farmers markets looks a lot better. You just have to use it up right away.

I think these days we have so much of genetically modified foods that are not that healthy. Their maturity time s shortened this means that they have to induce somethings to make it possible. You can imagine there is some country that has some home made meat. That is just creepy.

Hmmm....well maybe I'm too young to know what you're talking about but I'm sure food from 8 years ago looks just the same as the food I'm eating today. Maybe you're noticing something that I'm not? And this is coming from a foodie mind you...

You're right about what you say, in some apples for example you even see a point going inside of them like if they were injected. What I don't get is how consumer associations don't protest against this sort of industry, the aim here is not even close to provide our nutritional needs... :(
