I actually just saw Capuchino Lays potato chips yesterday. I'm not even sure HOW that could be appealing to someone. I suppose those sort of flavors would be fun to try once, but couldn't actually be a flavor that would catch on. It's a cool contest, but I wonder how many of the flavors that win are actually flavors that people would buy?
These Chili Chocolate chips have to be the weirdest chips I've ever heard of. I would not bother to even try them. It's pretty possible to put any flavor of chip out there, but my question would be how these odd flavors make money.
These days, there are so many weird flavor combinations of potato chips. Lays is definitely putting out a lot of them like the cappuccino flavor. (YUCK!) However, they are being topped by the brand 'Walkers'. These folks offer a cajun squirrel potato chip. Can't imagine how it tastes, but I imagine spicy.
I haven't read all of the responses yet but as soon as I saw the title of your post I had one in mind- Lays Cappuccino flavor...just, why? Who exactly thought that would be a good idea? I can get on board with at least *trying* some pretty out there kind of flavors, but that one doesn't sound even the least bit appealing to me.
The weirdest I've ever come across and had the pleasure of putting into my tongue would probably be ketchup flavored potato chips. I know some people love it but for the life of me I can't seem to find (and taste) the appeal of a ketchup flavored snack, I mean, why can't I just dip the chips on ketchup? And to be honest the taste isn't really that bad but I wouldn't want to give it a second try either.
It has to be Shrimp Mayo that flavor is so weird. I never understood the taste of it and it smells very weird and pungent. The first time I tasted it I just didn't like it, I mean it's not that bad I've tasted worst but I don't see myself munching on those things not unless I'm starving to death.
I ran across the cappuccino chips yesterday. I'm not a coffee drink so yuck! I'm very surprised that Canada has these weird flavored chips. I am interested in the cinnamon bun one. I'm not interested in eating them, but I do want to see what they smell like. I am very curious at what's fueling this new flavor craze.
Honestly, I thought this was some type of joke. I know people eat squirrel, but I thought this was a remnant of an April Fool's joke or something. I see about 5 squirrels everyday. I live in an apartment complex with lots of trees and green landscaping. We have a lot of squirrels running around. They don't cause much trouble. Sometimes they eat the cable wires. They are honorary pets. Anyway, I did a Google search and yep...they're real! No words!
