My husband saw something about tofu on tv this morning and was asking me what it is. It's been decades since I've eaten tofu, but I told him that to the best of my recollection it is bean curd (probably soy) and that it tends to soak up the flavors of whatever it is cooked with, thus allowing one to cut down on meat, etc. I don't know. It's been so long I might be off the mark; but whether I am or not I do remember that I wasn't fond of it.
