It may sound odd, but on road trips I LOVED going to truck stops to eat and shop, yes shop. Great bargains on practical things like socks, hats, gloves and unique local gifts and things. No, I am not a truck driver (not the commercial type, maybe a van, SUV or pickup)

One time when a friend and I were taking turns driving, we each said I wish I had a shower, but we didn't want to stop for the night and pay for a motel. Ouila! We stopped at a big clean friendly truck stop and for a few bucks we got a private shower with a bathroom, towels and soap. We each took a turn, came out refreshed and finished the drive.

Have you ever stopped at the Truck Stop chains or independents and what is your experience?

Dont see anything odd here, sometimes places we never though could be enjoyable for shopping can surprise us.
