Thrift stores can have clothes that still have the price tags on them and are brand new. Or they can have gently used clothes that are okay to buy. I know that some people might feel like they don't want to wear clothes from a thrift store, but for me, if the clothes are in good shape, or brand new, then I have no problem wearing them. Of course I'll wash them a couple of times before I wear them, but that's just the wise thing to do.
Thrift stores are a great resource for many things. I like shopping at places like Goodwill because many times you can find things that you would never find in a "regular" store.

I agree with you 100% here. I have seen some of the ugliest things in the world, with some of the highest prices on the planet, and people will buy them. Ugly shoes especially, and disgusting-looking purses are right up there with the ugly shoes, and people will buy them because of a name. And don't let me get started on ugly cars, ugh.
This type of behavior never ceases to baffle me. I suppose brainwashed is the right word for it.

Going to thethrift store to me as like going on a treasure hunt. You never know what you are going to find. I like to save money on basic items I need so that I can spend more money on things I like to have or take the money I saved and take a trip. If you have no problem purchasing a used car you should have no problem shopping at the thrift store.
