Even if it means you buy the phone at T-Mobile and then go to another carrier to get it activated. This method may not get you on their payment plan or sign up for a contract, but it still gets you in the door. With this in mind, cellular phone companies have a better opportunity winning you over while you visit the store. Most customers that see the big "unlocked phones for sell sign" will generally go in just to see what they have even if it's too expensive or not what they are looking for. It's Just Natural human curiosity that drives this type of marketing strategy. In most cases they will still end up walking out the door with a new phone anyways, only for the simple fact that they give you some information about the great deal your getting today etc. If your smart always look around do some online shopping. Most companies will sell you a cheaper phone over the internet than over the counter. It's easier for them. There is less interaction which means one less employee to pay for that sell. Some even give you a free month of service based on the plan you choose. Don't get talked into something you may regret later down the road just because it sounded nice at the time.
