One time I ordered and they got mine and my friend's drink mixed up with another customer's, which was pretty annoying, and when we pointed this out the employee said that they'd given us the right drinks. That is the only thing I have experienced from them, besides their beverages sucking and totally not being worth the hype. When I have been to different branches, the service will improve or decline. Just depends who is serving that day, I suppose.
Well I still get nothing but great customer service from my neighborhood starbucks. I have never had a bad experience at any starbucks. I would contact the management and suggest them to work with employees on customer service skills.
Fortunately, I have not experienced bad customer service when it comes to Starbucks. The baristas I encounter always have smiles on their faces, and they would ask if there is anything else I like to order from the menu that would fit my preferences for the day. I used to frequent the same Starbucks shop near the university I went to, and I'd come in for my usual drink: Java Chip Frappuccino. They'd automatically write my name, and a smiley beside it. However, if problems do arise when it comes to the attitude of the employees, I think it would be best to confront them yourself. Calmly let them know how wrongly they have treated you. Worst case scenario is to maybe report it to management.
This type of thing happens at pretty much any type of "restaurant" place. The crazy part is that I was surprised at how most people speak highly of Starbucks service. We only had bad experiences with them to such a degree that they had to fire most of the workers and "revamp" a local Starbucks.
Wow, that's pretty suprising TheViper. You don't hear of that very often in regards to Starbucks. Here, a lot of our Starbucks are inside of a grocery store called Ingles. It's pretty neat. And the service is always pretty great as well. There have been a couple of times where my drink wasn't made exactly the way I want it, but that's going to happen anywhere you go, not just Starbucks. They are not quite on the level of Chick Fil A when it comes to customer service, but they are good.
Luckily for me, I haven't experienced any unpleasant customer service in Starbucks yet. I've had a couple with McDonalds, though. People there seemed to be just very apathetic and just takes the order only because they need to. But at Starbucks, people are so nice and they will always take your order with a smile. I hope that the McDonalds management can somehow learn from Starbucks.
