I am always looking to keep my banking costs down like most people. I have been with Netspend, an online back for like 7 years. I liked them because I would get my VA benefits posted earlier than most banks. I had no reason to complain other than they don't have a walk-in bank. But who really goes into the bank a lot. Anyway, I had a big problem with that bank over a deposit. So I opened a new account with Regions Bank. I do most things online. I funded the account through my debit from my old bank. I got confirmation of the deposit and waited for my banking information. After a couple of days I called them and they still had not gotten my money. So I check my old bank statement. The payment had cleared. So now I'm really worried. I can again and put in a research deposit type of complaint. They told me to wait 2 business days for it to post. Well as of today, my money is still in limbo! $100. It might be much to most people, but it is a lot to someone who is on a strict budget. I called customer service again and they could not help nor explain why this was happening. I tried not to take it out on the rep. They didn't do it. But he was not offering a lot of options. I am NOT happy with their services, but I can't be jumping around changing banks. Plus it costs money to open accounts. I just want people to beware of Regions Bank and opening an online account. If you do, go to the local bank and open up an account. I will have to wait 14 days for the money to go back to my old account. Anybody else have problems with Regions?
Hm... I don't know what to say really. I mean I understand that for most payments there is a period stretching anywhere from 3-7 business days before posting especially if the account is new. I'm sorry this happened to you, but I've heard only good things from Regions.
You should really look on their Facebook page. That's where all the negative comments are. People's account being charged overdraft fees and missing money. It is just plain crazy. I will never do banking with them again.
If you want to get some instant feedback look for their Twitter or Facebook page. You may want to consider switching to a credit union though. I am doing this because my bank was not posting funds right away until after the payments were past due or the account would get over drawn.
I have been banking with Regions for ten years and have never had this kind of problem with them. I would go in and talk to someone at a local branch to see if you can get to the bottom of ths situation.
