I'm not sure where to post this. Do any of you quilt? How did you get into it? I want to learn, but I want to start slow. Does anyone have any pointers? I would like to maybe start with a pot holder. Does anyone know where I could find some patterns? Or a table runner?
I do not quilt, but I have an older friend who does. From her, what I know about this craft is that you definitely need a mentor - someone who's already quilting to show you the ropes. You can usually find someone through word of mouth or at a craft store listing. The other thing you should is check out YouTube videos. I crochet and they have helped me improve my skill set.
