I've never really made an effort to avoid processed foods, because I always just thought that if I bought the more reputable brands then I'd be fairly safe, even if they end up costing me more in the short term. However, I've been growing more and more concerned as I grow older, and since I'm not particularly attached to any of these foods, I thought I'd give up some of the ones that I thought I could do with less of. Specifically, I'm thinking of giving up eating Spam and hotdogs, because I really don't know what goes into them and I think it would be best for me to just give them up entirely. How about you guys, which processed food items do you usually stay away from and why?
