There is no such situation, for me, when I like to pay more for something when I do not have to lol!! Call me smart, or call me a cheapskate hahaha!!! I do, however, really enjoy quality products, unless I am desperate and have to settle for a less quality product. I'm not paying premium for anything that I do not have to pay premium for.

You get what you pay for, in regards to products; services are more mutable. Whenever I make purchases I have never bought before, I research it prior to purchasing and look up reviews about the thing. Price is only an issue when the product or service I wish to acquire is of low quality or ridiculously overpriced in comparison to other similar things. If it's worth the price, I'll pay, because money comes and go - what I need is necessary to for me to live, and money is merely an instrument to help me acquire such needs.

I cannot give a definite answer because it all depends on the product but in general, I prefer price over quality. A rule of thumb is that if it costs more than 3 times, then it is not worth it. It applies to electronics, household goods, or any long lasting goods. I mean, how good can a product be to have more than 3 times the price of the other products. However, there is always exceptions. One of the exceptions where I don't mind paying a little higher is for earphones as the cheap ones get broken relatively easily.
