There was an interesting programme on channel 4 about the rise of the Poundland and how they make their money. The programme was called 'Secrets of Poundland', it showed that Poundland is clever marketing but not value for money, in most cases the products sold at Poundland are more expensive than the other supermarkets. Don't buy in Poundland under the illusion you are getting a bargain. Have you ever shopped in Poundland?
Yes, I have shopped in Poundland, and I'd disagree with that. I've had some great bargains, including Oxos and Heinz salad cream at around half the price in supermarkets. It depends what you're buying, but there are definitely some great bargains to be had in Poundland.
