When my hubby goes shopping he always buys a 10lb bag of potatoes. He said it's the best bargain; you save money buying the larger bag. I disagree, especially when that bag sits until the potatoes are no longer edible. To me that is a waste. I'd rather purchase the smaller 5lb bag, use it up and then buy another one when needed. Which do you purchase and why?

You save a bit by buying the larger bag if you can eat them all in time. I'm with you, I never eat them all before they go bad. I also just like the ease of carrying the smaller bag. The bit of money you save isn't worth it for me to get the big bag but I could see where you'd want to if you had to feed a whole family or something.

I agree with you buying smaller bags rather then big one.

We refuse to waist anything in our house. If we even buy a 50lb back of something then you best believe that it will be gone before it starts turning. I am a big believer in going for the best bargain currently out there. If a 10lb bag of potato's is cheaper then the 5lb then I'm going big.
