I came across a friend. He went to Bestbuy to buy a gadget. He was offered to get a credit card and he took it. Here's the weird part, when he got the bill he was shocked because of added fees. A protection fee that he did not even signed up for! How could a company be so dishonest!
Is it the company or the person who signed him up? The best thing would be to contact customer service, delete the unwanted protection fee and report the person who signed him up. It could be an honest mistake or maybe there is an incentive for the employee, in which case they should be reported for padding a customer's card without authorization.
Are we sure that this was not all mentioned in the contract and your friend did not read it through completely? Often times when you want someone to sign up for something you do not mentioned the negatives that are in the fine print. Should the person trying to get you to sign up let you know these things? Absolutely. I'm just not so sure they have to when the specifics are in writing and you are signing something.
