Popcorn is possibly the most easy thing to do, but many of us still buy them. What's your case, do you buy your popcorn or do you make them at home? Do you notice any difference in the quality/taste?
Honestly, I don't have an idea on how to cook popcorn using regular methods. I've heard that there's a popcorn maker but I don't have one and have no idea how it works. Though I did remember cooking popcorn once but only the type that you shove in microwave ovens. So to answer your question, when it comes to popcorns - I just buy them. Actually, I don't really like eating popcorns, I prefer munching on french fries more. And when it comes to fries, I prefer making them myself.
I very rarely buy, make, or eat popcorn, because my Dad hates how it smells. The few times I have bought it, it was the microwaveable stuff. I did just recently receive seed samples from Boom Chicka Pop! so you can grow your own popping corn. I'm trying to decide whether I should grow it or not, since I do have an outdoor garden that's a decent size. I don't think that I've ever popped corn traditionally, via the pan and heat/fire method. I think our counselors tried it at camp once, but getting secure the life down and the thing pretty much exploded in everyone's faces, haha.
I am not a huge fan of popcorn. The only time I eat popcorn is when I go to the movies. Even then, I do not purchase popcorn every time I go to the movies. I really have to be in the mood to eat popcorn and when I do, they have to be extremely buttery!
I love different kinds of popcorn that you can't find in the store, so I pop my own. At the local farmer's market, I found a great source of popping corn, but it was only the regular yellow kind. At least it's organic. I found that to be so underrated, as it's got tons more flavor. I really LOVE blue kernel corn, it's so delicious, but hard to find nowadays in popping corn.
I have never made popcorn from scratch. We always buy the kind from the box. That said, it doesn't cost much, and I don't eat it. BF only eats it every once in a while, so a box lasts us for months. I think it would be nice to know how to make it homemade, though.
I don't really eat popcorn, but when I do, I buy it in the store. It's so cheap and easy, that making my own isn't really that much of a savings.
I have never tried to make popcorn before so I prefer to just buy it its much more faster and convenient to go into the store and buy it. Now that I hear about making in it , I am very interested in hearing about how and what it would taste like.
if your talking about make them like in the bag with a microwave rather than buy in a bag it really just depends on my mood and what i have a taste for. and also, if i don't have a lot of money buying a pack of microwavable popcorn is a cheap snack that can last me about a week so il go for that if its the case.
Even though we grow our own corn but to be honest I have no idea how to make a popcorn. I mean I'm sure it's easy but I just never made it on my own. I usually just buy them if I ever go to the market, it is very cheap but sometimes I do find it being very greasy.
I would rather make than buy them. The processed popcorns sold at the grocery store are less healthy as they contain a lot of chemicals to maintain the freshness of the popcorn, which is not necessary and does nothing good for the body. Only that is I don't know how to make a popcorn.
Ahah, that's funny, there's nothing really about doing them 003 and they are cheaper. I agree on you with the chemicals, but on the other hand it seems that the bought ones taste better, possibly I haven't fully grasped the art of popcorn making.
