My friends have followed my advice on the leftover of the vegetables in the kitchen that also includes rind and peel of fruits. It’s a simple bin that you dig on the ground like a pit. That’s where you place the trimmings of the vegetables and fruits. When those trimmings decay, it is converted into a potent fertilizer for the plants. Although it takes months for that to happen, the fertilized soil can be stored in pots if not used immediately. What’s good in this process is that you don’t spend anything since the rind of fruits and vegetable trimmings have no more value. And if you don’t have a space outside the ground, you can use a plastic or rubber pot. But you have to put some soil, at least 4 inches deep so the earthworms can thrive. Yeah, there should be earthworms, they make the process faster.
