Its going to start getting cooler soon. Thats when I like to have my hot cereal in the morning. Ok, who am I kidding. Sometimes I like it for dinner too. lol. I prefer Cream Of Wheat. What do you prefer?
Definitely Cream of Wheat. I can't stand oatmeal. I have tried time and time again and I just don't like it at all. I don't usually eat much hot cereal in general, but if I'm going to have some, then I'd definitely go with cream of wheat.
I actually enjoy both, but if I had to choose it would be cream of wheat. I tend to eat oatmeal mostly with berries and raisins. I eat cream of wheat plain.
I like steel cut oatmeal. It is really healthy, it has a lot of protein, iron and a lot of B vitamins. I like to add peaches and cream with a teaspoon of sugar. Yummy!
I like both, oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins are my favorite. Cream of wheat with brown sugar is also good. I don't eat as much cream of wheat as I do oatmeal.
I prefer oatmeal. I have never tried cream of wheat. I know it doesn't make sense, but I don't like the name. I like my oatmeal with a little brown sugar, sliced almonds and dried fruit. Delicious.
I have never tried cream of wheat. I think I will soon. I do not like oatmeal. But I do love grits since I live in the south. Grits are a big thing here. I butter them up, add a little sharp cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon. It is amazing!
I love oatmeal with just a little bit of sugar on it. Oatmeal has some great health benefits. Oatmeal is great for your heart, helps lower cholesterol, and is very reasonably priced.
Lol at not liking the name! I actually didn't know it was called that for a long time. I only knew it as the brand name "Malt O Meal." Later on, I remembered that I had had it as a kid, but couldn't find it in the stores where I had moved to. It wasn't until I realized that it was actually cream of wheat that I was able to find it and then I felt silly.
That was my favorite breakfast as a kid. Grits with butter and bacon. Wow, your post has brought back some fond memories. I can almost taste grits now. Thanks.
I prefer oatmeal with blueberries in it. Sometimes I use blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, that is even better. Occasionally I will put raisins in and cinnamon. I don't love oatmeal but it is supposed to be good for you so I try to eat it. I don't want to add sugar so I have to put something in to make it taste better.
Ewww, I can't believe that any of you- one would assume- smart people would choose Cream of Wheat? It feels like hodge-podge paste in my mouth. I gag just thinking of it... Oatmeal you will always be my breakfast Valentine! I love you with Brown sugar, peaches and cream, or cinnamon! I know you can fancy up Cream of Wheat..but I have always been a texture person. And yours stinks. Ewww!
Cream of wheat without a doubt, I just can't stomach oatmeal most of the time. Oatmeal cookies though, that's a different story!
Well I love me some Oatmeal, especially maple brown sugar. I love Oatmeal since I was a little kid, every time my grandmother gets a hold of some she always calls me over.
I just cannot stand oatmeal. It looks like someone blew there nose in it with all that gooey mess. And I just don't like the taste or texture. I do like cream of wheat though. I love ot put honey in it, as well as fresh berries. And I also love to eat Malt O Meal. That is actually a step above cream of wheat. I know oatmeal is probably very good for you. And if you make it with skim milk it can be low in calories. But I just can't bring myself to eat it.
I'm not a huge fan of either, but I do eat oatmeal pretty regularly.. I mix it with other things though, I just don't like the texture.
Well Oatmeal tastes the best with lots of sugar, butter, and milk. But I have loved Cream Of Wheat ever since I was little. However, I have probably forgotten how to make it by now lol! I haven't eaten it since I was 14 probably.
I don't know, I've never had Cream of Wheat before, but I have heard about it on television (American TV) and I have wondered what it tasted like... I have alway thought it tasted creamy, lol.
