I have just broken my third vacuum cleaner in a year. Can anyone recommend a hoover that will last longer than a few months, picks up well and isn't too expensive? I'm not that bothered about fancy extras, I just want something that works!
I would like to help you but I haven't owned a vacuum cleaner in years. I have wooden floors and carpets that I can shake out by hand. I would recommend you go to one of the retail outlets and find a sympathetic assistant, or usually the one that seems most eager to sell. After having decided what exactly you want, start beating down price. It works 9 times out of 10 for me. The competition is so big that they are happy to sell for a lot less than advertised. Good luck!
