I haven't had any health insurance for a long time, but recently, due to extenuating circumstances, I had to get a private health insurance. I got the medium coverage, which means that if anything happens to me, I will receive treatment from doctors, specialists and dentists. But the thing is that I will have to pay half of the price. I opted for this health plan since I virtually never see western doctors, but have been relying on Oriental medicine for most of my life. So, just in case something goes wrong, I am partially covered, which is better than nothing. Do you have private health insurance? And if you do, how much do you pay for it per month?
I have a health subsystem that works more or less like a private insurance and it's pretty comfortable to be covered because we can access private hospitals at a relatively good price. I don't know exactly how much I am paying because the rules changed recently, but up until now it was a percentage of my wage and it wasn't very high comparing to private insurances.
My health insurance is valued around $460 per month. It covers everything, but has some high copays so I guess that is a trade off. I have a friend who pays $160/month which is the lowest out of all of my friends and that just covers catastrophic.
I strongly think that it's really a must to have and subscribe to an insurance. It really works in letting you save a lot more money and have some for emergency. You are never sure of what's going to happen so it always pays to have a back up in times of unexpected dire cases. Insurances provides it. It serves as a back up.
