I had a 31 inch Motorola TV and it had this feature that downloaded the schedule from cable/ broadcast. I forget the exact details. Every so often this TV would suddenly click off, and it would clear everything out, suddenly. In order to get it back, it was necessary to leave it off overnight. This process kept happening, until it got stolen.
So I got a 32 inch Motorola TV and it did the same thing. Then one day it clicked off and would not start up or turn on. I was unable to do anything with it. Disgusted, I sold it on eBay for 99 cents, stating what the problem was. I now own a Toshiba TV.
Does anyone know what this problem with these TV's is? Remember that I am talking about a analogue CRT TV. I think it was Motorola by the way.

I had a Motorolla tv once - a 27". It was nice looking but the image actually wasn't as clear as I thought it would be. Personally I prefer my Toshiba - clear image and great quality sound as opposed to my Motorolla tv where the speakers kind of sounded muffled. Perhaps I got it from a bad batch because I have read other reviews on Motorolla tv's which have stated they were very pleased.

I didn't even realize that Motorolla made televisions...lol. I've done quite a few reviews on LCD/LED televisions over the psat few years and have found that for the money, you can't beat Vizio in terms of quality and price. That being said, the higher priced Vizios are better than the bargain basement ones, but Vizio is priced quite a bit less than the competition in general. You might want to check these out the next time you head to the store to buy a new LCD.

Two televisions that did the same thing. What's up with that? Did you ever call the manufacturer? I would really want to know why two tv's did the very same thing. Somebdy got a good deal buying it, if they could fix the problem. Whow.

If you're talking about generic CRT TV's in the 27 inch and above class? You cannot go wrong with SHARP! Great color, sound, longevity, quality, etc. I bought a used 27 inch sharp TV for my new apartment when I moved out of my moms house at age 19. I'm 28 now, and that TV still runs like a dream in the guest room of my place. I have a 60 inch Sony in my living room now.

I bought my mom a 32 inch RCA flat screen for her house a few years back. Ironically enough, my mom's 25 inch SHARP TV which she's had since I was 14, is still running very well after all these years also! That TV still going strong is actually what prompted me to buy one for my place until I saved up enough money to get a larger set. I knew it'd be a reliable purchase. And here we are in 2012. And both sets are still running strong!
