Atari's E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial game, was a really bad game. Millions of brand new games vanished. The rumor was they were buried. Well, that little conspiracy theory turned out to be true! They were dug up in New Mexico today. Log In
I read this some time ago and like a fine wine, they matured with age. I bet those will be worth a pretty penny simply for nostalgic value.
I doubt it, considering there are millions of them buried there, if there were only a few then they would be worth money. Sad to think that it was this game that led to the demise of one of the biggest gaming companies at the time.
Now that they've found them, it's time to burn them! I've seen E.T. being played by the Angry Video Game Nerd and the game clearly sucks. It's not worth it even for nostalgia's sake. If you want to fill your curiosity, try to play it using an emulator. But these cartridges? They deserve to be wiped out from the face of the earth.
