For most people saving isn't easy. It isn't easy because they don't do it right. They think that being frugal means you'll have to deprive yourself of all the "nice stuff." You don't have to. But you can't spend all your money either because in case of emergencies you'd find yourself in trouble. Saving is a habit which can be learned slowly. Start small. Set realistic goals. Save a little money each week or month and once you get used to saving the money it gets easier . . .
Also try to immediately separate the money that you'll save from your monthly budget. This is a great way to prevent yourself from dipping below your planned threshold. As much as possible, credit cards should not be used unless there's an emergency. These pieces of plastic are big money vacuums.
