We don't go to the theater very often, but my husband and I were able to have a date tonight so we went to the movie and randomly chose to see "Gone Girl". WOW - just suspenseful. If you have seen the movie, do you think a situation like that could happen in real life? That someone could truly frame someone like that and even get away with it Do you think there have been successful cases in the past where people faked their own deaths and got away with it? I will be honest I don't like nudity/bad language, but it was a very suspenseful movie.
I haven't seen this movie, and I guess I'm going to have to wait until it comes out on video. But from what I know about the story line I do think that things like this can happen in real life, but as far as having real cases where people actually got away with it, l'm not sure if it happened or at least I've never heard anything of the sort.
