It's definitely a southeastern thing, but if you live around rural areas you're probably familiar with both of these. I definitely used to favor Ingles for the prices and customer service. I worked there for a while, even, and they kind of want to be Publix (but don't pay enough to get quite there). I'm definitely more into fresh veggies and the like than packaged meats, so I don't know much beyond their fish, but their produce prices are pretty top notch to me. Food Lion was nice for frozen and fresh fish selection in comparison, at least. Recently, I got an app called Favado that alerts to when sales are going on and I've noticed that at least for sale items, Food Lion seems to be favorable if you've got their card. What's everyone else experience with these two?
