Hi friends, I bought cellphone at shopping website, but the phone does not match the description at website, what can i should do ?
I don't know why you have listed this under Ireland, anyone can help with this question. I would contact the shop you bought the phone from and explain what has happened. They should be willing to replace the phone with the one you ordered.
I agree with Bolt, your first step would be to contact the company. You may want to check their website for their return policy. This will get you better informed before you contact them. If they are a good company, they should be willing to replace the phone at no cost to you. The tricky part will be if they will also pay for the return shipping.
If you are not familiar with the online store's return or refund policy try to contact them through their "contact us" link or tab they usually have on the web page. If this does not prove helpful try to contact the government agency in your country that deals with retail store complains. If you used a credit card you could also ask the credit card company for advice as to how you should proceed since you want to dispute the transaction. Sometimes the more people you approach to pressure the store the faster your issue gets resolved. When my credit card got hacked after I bought facebook credits for my son Facebook ignored my complaints. It was a good thing that the transaction on facebook went through my paypal account. Aside from complaining to facebook that I did not buy more facebooks credits for a guy in Israel I also filed a complaint with paypal. The paypal people were the ones who got the charges reversed and harassed facebook to do the right thing. I know paypal sent emails and follow up to facebook at least twice a day to get the issue resolved.
thanks bolt for your help Thank you for the suggestion, in fact, I've contacted them. They reply to me, and the shipping department to check in , and now not reply to me! If you can refund this is the best, but is usually not refundable, and I hope it
I would report this site to the police or someone who can do the same as the police. They scammed you and should not be able to sell anything in the future
Yeah, it's pretty much in the hands of the shop now. If you got scammed, then you might have just lost your money, but if it's by some legitimate shop like Amazon or eBay, then you are okay. With eBay, you can always complain and they might help you out.
There is a very less chance of being cheated by an online shopping site because mostly all of them are genuine but if we cheated then we should immediately contact customer support of the respective shopping site from where we purchase the product. we should always try to do shopping by a website which has a very positive reputation lke ebay and amazon.
It would be okay for them to have a "no refunds" policy if they sent you the right item, but they didn't. I don't think "no refunds" should apply when they sent you an item that didn't match the description. For example, you can't just sell someone a pair of pants, send them a skirt instead and say "no refunds". How did you pay anyway? Did you use a credit card, Paypal, bank transfer? You should ask your payment processor how to proceed in getting a reversal.
The best way would be to contact the company or online store which you bought the item from. However, I think it would be best not to conclude right away that they have cheated on you. There is the human factor during these purchases and, there could also be a sub-contractor taking care of the deliveries of these items. If after several attempts of honest and fair communication with them fail, you may opt to report this incident to the authorities and file a formal complaint against them.
I would do everything in my power to contact the company politely and tell them that the fault is on their part. If they don't respond or do anything about this I would try to call customer service many times to figure out how to get an exchange or even a refund. The customer is usually right in these cases so I wish you the best of luck and patience as well.
So is there any progress? Have they already replied? What payment method did you use? If you used Paypal, then it would be quite easy to get a refund.
Buying online has these issues, that is why when I buy online I always try to buy from serious and well-known companies. I have bought a head set online and when it arrived it simply didn't work. I thought that I have been scammed, but I contacted the company and they were really honest, they sent me a new one free of charges and didn't even want the other one back (that was strange).
I am quite busy these days, my last feedback after they deal with customer service said to me, I thought it was delayed yesterday, I have received a new phone, well, what can i say ? I want to delay a few days, it may be, and we have a time difference, always looking for customer service solutions on the right
I would definitely leave some feedback on the user's profile, even if they corrected the issue. You can simply explain that the wrong item was shipped but that the vendor corrected it eventually. Even though they corrected the issue, it was still an inconvenience to you and worth warning others. At the very least it should put more pressure on the vendor to be more careful with their orders. If you had paid with a credit card, the first thing I would have done would be to contact them to put a stop on the payment until this was resolved. The card companies will often do this without hesitation.
