I buy games whenever I have enough money. Sometimes if I like a game too much, then I save enough money to buy games. Usually it takes me at least 4-5 months to buy the games. It is very difficult to continuously keep buying a good number of games as it can be really troublesome to manage everything else. I am have taken at least 3 games in the past one year.

I don't really buy games for my mobile phone. The main reason is because there are not that many games out for my phone model, because everything is for android these days. I have a tablet though, so that kind of covers the Android aspect. Secondly, I couldn't afford the games even if they were for my mobile phone. They are not all that good.

I don't usually buy games that often but back when I was still pretty much a hardcore gamer and I had all the time in my life I tend to buy every game that's ever released. But now that I'm usually busy with work and a lot of things I tend to just buy the games that I like. It can be from a single game a month or a year depending on what game came out and the worst part is, even though I bought it already I still have to find some time to play it.

My favorite platform to play games on is the Sony Playstation 4. I have litterally been an avid gamer every sense the first Sony Playstation. I am more of a fan now with the current PS4 system because of how life like and intelligent the computer in the game is. I normally keep my game purchases to a minimum. Or at least until an all time classic and a favorite is released. Recently I purchased an NBA basketball game by the name od NBA 2K15. I have been a fan of this series sense the first NBA 2K was realeased 15 years ago.

My favorite platform would have to be the PC.

I know that it kind of does not count as an strictly gaming oriented console but it does have a wide range of games made especially for it, it is capable of simulating a lot of other consoles and for that it is more than qualified for me to be my favorite gaming console. I do play a lot of online games and am a really big fan of MMORPG games but I must say that I do prefer offline games that need to be installed. Also I do buy most of my games, some of them I do get from friend for free, though.

I agree with you. Also while there's nothing wrong with TV because I watch movies and a few TV shows too, in a way games are better because they are interactive. You're not really interacting with a movie.
I'm not sure about using music as an example though. Music is more than entertainment.

I agree. Many people love to brand video games unhealthy thanks to the nature of a mere handful of them, which is a little bit extreme. Many people still tar gamers with the 'likely to commit a school shooting,' brush, which is again ridiculous in my opinion. I may have to agree with you there with regards to what you said about music. It is so much more then mere entertainment. It touches me on a soul level ;)

I prefer music over games anytime, but I don't think we can deny the influence of violence in games and TV in the violence that happens in society, there is a direct connection, but not with everyone of course. As for buying them, I am not a big gamer so not really.

Is it terrible of me that I don't really purchase either one - games or music? Lol!! With the internet there really isn't any need to shell out any money for these two mediums. Especially for people who don't earn all that much money and still want what they cannot afford. The internet makes it way too easy to get things for free, which I am not complaining about at all, of course lol. I don't think that anyone can blame video games for violence. People are violent. Not video games. People are the ones who make video games.

Yep, if we do have to spend money on games, I'd say buy them for pc, because buying a game for a console is way more expensive, not to mention the price that we already paid for the console that will only last a few years until the new model is released.

I'm not really a gamer but i play some light, easy, casual games like the bigfish games and most of the games are available for download online for free so that's what really great about casual games. Just recently though, i paid for a game in bigfish because i really want to play it badly and couldn't find any torrent or any source online that offers to download it for free to i caved in and just pay for it. And it was fun a game and i play it whenever i can.

I don't buy games at all because there's not really any mobile game that appeals to me so much that I want to pay for it. If I see one I suppose I would, but so far I've been fairly satisfied with the free games I get and I honestly don't play that much anyway. I currently have about 15 games on my tablet and I only ever play about one or two of them over and over. If I do see a game that I like enough and it's not being offered for free, then I'd purchase it, but otherwise I'm just going to stick with the freebies.

My mobile can't really play a wide selection of games, due to the fact that it is a Nokia and not an Android. I bought an android since, and I was so excited. But to be honest there are a lot of games that I still won't buy now that I have the choice to buy them. After reading some of the reviews for these games, most do not seem like they would be worth the money, or they seem like they would be glitchy, or they seem like customer support is hard to get a hold of.

I never buy games, only download their free version. I believe this is a stupid waste of money and time, in that time you could do something more productive. I also only play free games for just a little while before I get bored and delete it.

I love games but it hard to buy them nowadays regularly. I usually only get 1 or 2 games per year that I am really looking forward to. Right now, I am waiting for WWE 2k15 and Dragon Age: Inquisition to be released.

I play a lot of games on my iPad! I'll definitely buy them, especially if there are a lot of ads on the free version. Plus I think it's worth it to pay the developer of the app for their hard work. They put a lot of time and effort into these games and to just expect that to be free seems a little unfair. The only other games I buy are board games, because those are always fun to have around for a party!

Yep, those are two advantages of buying games, one, you get rid of the annoying ads that sometimes are just too much, two, we get to give some money to the developer, that sometimes is well deserve considering the time we spend with their creation.

I play on free apps on my ipad and iphone, but I never pay for them. I like to play Candy Crush, Family Feud and a few other arcade type games. I never do any serious gaming on my apps, definitely not enough to pay for them. On my PC, I play The Sims games, but that's all. I recently bought the hard copy of The Sims 4 and have still only played it a few times, partially because it was a $60 disappointment versus the previous games.

That's the issue with games, everyone can play Candy Crush and similar games on the computer or smartphone, so unless you are the serious gamer there is no real need to buy them, most people simply don't have the time to play so much.
