I read about all these money-making phone apps where you run videos and earn cash. Can a regular data plan support that? Or do you need a huge plan so that you don't use it all up before the month is out?
I think you might need an unlimited data plan because if you have say a 30GB data plan and you have to watch lots of videos there is a likelihood that you may use up all your 30 GB data before the month is out. Or you could experiment. Watch a few videos for a day or two see how much data you use then use that to help you choose the right data plan. On average a one hour vid [standard quality] will use about 2GB of data. That means if you watch only 2 hours of vids each day for a month a 50 GB data plan would be no good.
I agree. Watching videos requires a lot of data, and to profit from money making apps like Perks TV and others you are going to need to watch a lot of videos, definitely more than two a day. So if you want to make a real profit from it first of all consider the costs: changing your data plan and the electricity bill. I know that a lot of people are able to set up "farms" and earn money out of it, but it requires some planning.
