There are sites (and probably apps now too) that will let you compare gas prices and find the cheapest places to fill up. Do you use these when you travel long distances? When traveling for the holidays, or making any lengthy road trip, you can save quite a bit of money (if you don't have to go out of your way to get to these stations). I think it's a great thing. I've seen some huge differences in gas prices between stations that aren't very far apart. I know that just near my home, the prices can vary 25-30 cents per gallon, just within a few miles of each other. Gas Buddy is one option for finding the best gas prices.
