I've never been on a cruise, but I'm not sure whether I'd enjoy going on one. Sure they sound like a lot of fun, but I can also have the same fun at a hotel, you know, somewhere that I can leave whenever I want... I'd feel too restricted in a cruise.
I have not, I do not have the money for that. I have heard many good things about Alaskan cruises though and would definitely consider going on one at some point when I can afford it. I have a number of reservations about going on foreign cruises though. I have heard lots of things about extra expenses and things that really add up, as well as the problems that have happened recently.
In 2013, my friend and I, went on the Carnival Cruise ship for a trip between Long Beach, U.S.A. and Ensenada, Mexico. It was a 4 day trip, three nights, and cost less than $250 for our tickets; yes, accidents from the Carnival Cruises helped to lower the pricing, but it was well worth it. The two bed room me and my friend got was a good size - although the walls need more sound proofing from noisy neighbors - food was served at the back dining area all day long [dinner was also served formally at another dining area] and there were paid restaurants as well, alcoholic drinks served all day and stopped at 2 o'clock at night, small casino, pools and spas, open ship deck, gym, theater for show performances, variety of gift stores, paid massage service room, karaoke bar, lounge/club, off-ship tourism, and a load of other things to do. A lot of the activities were free to watch and participate in, but others were not, so be prepared to have some bring-along cash, credit, or debit. All in all, me and my friend had fun on the Carnival Cruise, although, there was another way fancier cruise liner ship that docked next to us in Ensenada, Mexico that made us Carnival passengers a little jealous; I believe it was a ship from the Celebrity Cruise Liners, which I plan to try and book next. However, for a cheap and family oriented type of cruise that is affordable, I recommend Carnival Cruise; you get what you pay, and what I paid was quite cheap and the experience is memorable.
I have never been on a cruise, I am not in love with the water. I think I will try a very short trip to nowhere to get myself use to the water before I take a longer trip. They look like they would be lots of fun, my daughter on has been on several and she likes them.
I haven't been in one. I heard so many great things about being in a cruise though. I want to try it, but it's too expensive.
The issue with cruises is that we just spend too much time on the boat and I feel that I prefer to just fly to the destination and enjoy my time there. I mean, it's like going on a trip and spending most of the time at the hotel no?
I have been in a seven day cruise with my parents before, around four years ago. It was a very nice experience and it was great to spend some time with my family. Still, seven days in a cruise gets a little boring, as there's no where you can run to. Also, we traveled for one day and then were in one city in another, so it got a little exhausting. It was a nice experience but I don't look forward to having another cruise trip.
I used to want to go on a cruise, very much so. However, as I got older and started hearing various negative information about cruise mishaps and disasters, I am now much less eager to go. Affordability has been a main factor though for me not yet going on one. So, if the costs are significantly lower now and I can now afford to go on one, I probably would still go. I would just probably be sure to bring my very own life-jacket though, just in case.
I have never been on a cruise but am so looking forward getting in on one. There's this cruise ship I've always wanted to ride on. It's called the Royal Carribean. Trips or destinations under this ship include the following: Eastern Medditeranean, Western Mediterranean, North Europe, Transatlantic and many more.
I have never been on a cruise and I would love to experience being in one. You get to do lots of new things and it will be a whole new experience unwinding on a boat with lots of amenities, so I would grab the chance if I can afford it.
That is true, cruises have a whole lot of things that we can do, but I think that the main about the cruise should be being in the sea and knowing quite a few different locations, just don't know if there is enough time to see it all.
I have been one one cruise, a Carnival Cruise from Florida to the Bahamas for four days. To this day I can't understand what all the fuss was about. The food was mediocre and I could have cooked better food at home. The captain's steak and seafood dinner was excellent of course. The small cabin was cramped with the two of us in single beds and our luggage. The bathroom was a closet. Noise in the hallway all night every night. The drinks were crazy expensive before the tip and the waiters pushed them on us at breakfast time. The comedian was good. I was lost every time I left the cabin by myself. I went to my doctor and got a sea sickness patch before the trip so I had no problems with that. The ships doctor is very expensive if you suddenly get sick on the ship. I wasn't impressed. Next time I will go on a more expensive cruise on a different cruise line, if I go at all.
LOL, I was about to write that should have been awesome florida, considering it's a trip from Florida to the Bahamas, but I guess it wasn't the best experience. That just reinforces my wishes not to go on a cruise, I think there are better options considering the prices available.
I have never been on a cruise. More sadly, I have never been invited to one. I have browsed for cruise packages, and I think some are hilariously priced. I observedLog In that was designed as a tour package with entertainment on board, and cruisers get to plan their trip with as many activities that they wanted. The activities are priced separately.
I agree that price is a big factor when planning a holiday. I also think that people who have been on a cruise are more likely to take another. Meanwhile, aside from the expensive prices it is difficult to find a roommate for a cruise. It's probably cheaper for group purchases, but I don't really travel in groups unless for work and for my study, and when booking for groups the price could go down considerably.
I have not, and I don't feel like it would be particularly fun. Having only a few hours whenever the ship is in port, means that you can't travel to destinations too far away from port. On the cruise itself I feel that there is nothing particularly special, I could find casinos/malls/swimming pools/buffet restaurants at any shopping mall or resort.
I feel that a cruise, like I said before, can be fun if you like to be in a boat, that basically is just a floating hotel. If you don't and if you get seasick I'd say forget it and invest your money in something else, that's what I will do.
