I never buy groceries in bulk because their prices hardly ever change and even when they do the difference isn't that huge. Last time I tried buying groceries in bulk I lost a lot of money because I didn't store them properly and had to throw them out. Since then I only buy groceries which I'll at most use use for a week.
We do buy in bulk, but only for the non-perishable items like soap and tissue paper. We don't buy food that will last longer than 2 weeks though, since it might spoil.
I like buying in bulk for certain things. Nonperishable items like pasta, canned goods, soup, even toilet paper and paper towels. The hardest part about buying in bulk is figuring out where to store those 12 cans of soup or 40 rolls to toilet paper. My husband gets annoyed when the pantry is over flowing with things, but to me I know they are things that we need or use and I feel like I'm saving when I buy in bulk. Costco is great for this so I'll do the majority of my weekly shopping there.
Not in all cases. there are some stores which sell wholesale clothing. The goods are usually packaged in packs of three, consisting of not one, but three different sizes. Therefore, I would have to be buying the items for resale for it to be useful to me so I usually avoid those stores.
