It's pretty much Google everywhere, usually in around the 70 to 80 percent area.

Google has many different sub-sites besides .com. For example, Google.ca is for Canada, and Google.jp is for Japan.

Google is also popular on those countries that you mentioned. However, a search engine in China is kicking Google's butt. Google is the search engine super power right now and I can see that no one here is using other search engines aside from Google and I live in Asia. This proves that Google is also popular on Asian countries and not only on the United States.

Well it is indeed true that Google has a rather huge slice of the pie in the search engine business and like what Brian has mentioned, Google has the various sub-sites for users in different parts of the world. Germany has "google.de", France has "google.fr" and China has "google.cn". In China however, Google is actually ranked second with their own homegrown search engine Baidu taking the top spot as the most popular search engine there. Due to certain issues, Google China has been faced with various obstacles and the last I know, all searches from google.cn is actually redirected to Hong Kong's google.hk instead. All in all, Google still has quite a strong hold in the search engine business worldwide!

I was going to chime in about Baidu as well. :)

Google is more than a search engine now. Google is now a successful business!

Google dominates the entire world, not just in English speaking countries. I gather Google is the second biggest search engine in China, Baidu is the most popular in China. Google has issues with China regarding censorship and that might be the reason they are not number one.

IT will still be Google my friend. One thing that is very impressive about google is that it has a built-in translator that automatically translates searches into your own language. I really love this feature because it makes searching easy. We also know that Google gives us the fastest and accurate results.

respectively. It can't get better than google. And with the 'Translate this page' feature incorporated in the search, you have it all covered.

Google, most definitely. Not only is it widely used within the English speaking parts of the world, but also other countries within the world. As others have mentioned; different countries/areas in the world have their own extensions for Google.

Google's search is just about dominant everywhere in the world. The problem is that back when Google was small, none of the bigger companies cared what they did. They all figured Google couldn't damage them. Until they could obviously

Google is popular as a search engine anywhere where the internet is accessible. Period. And I don't see that changing anytime soon. MSN had a chance at coming close but they blew it with bad management. Now they're using BING which is annoying.

Google is the most popular search engine all over the world. I don't think there is any other which is used as extensively as Google. BING is becoming popular but it can't match up to Google and I doubt it ever will. Google's popularity just keeps growing.

In my country, Google is the most popular search engine. I'm not surprised that until now no other search engine has outranked them, mainly because Google delivers the most accurate results. I tried using Bing and Yahoo's search engine, but the results weren't as good as the results of Google.

I have to agree. I use to always use yahoo for my searching needs, but then I started using google and I love it. The search results are far better then yahoo, so needless to say I'm sticking with google too.

Google is the first engine I think of and the one I instinctively use. Perhaps the rest are using yahoo or bing? I'm also starting to use engines that reward you for using their search engine like Swagbucks, Zoombucks, etc. But I have to say I always just automatically go to google when I need to search, so much so I really don't know what other engine is on the same popularity level.

That right there is pretty much the only way anyone is going to knock Google off their high horse. By paying people to use their search. Even Microsoft does that with Bing. The problem is nobody really cared about the search engine thing until it was far too late and Google established a stranglehold.

Hands down, I don't even think there is another one who is close enough to even be considered to be in their shadow.

I use Google and only Google. I have tried alternatives like DuckDuckGo but they didn't stick. I always come back to Google. Maybe it's just that I learned how to search the net using Google, so Google's way of searching the net is the only one way that I am familiar with.

The problem now is that Google is such a far and distant number 1 that people have no choice but to use them for search survival. It's like Microsoft with their OS.
