Foraging: A Safe Way To Supplement Ingredients?

    Let me elabourate when I say 'safe'. Not just in unwittingly picking up something that may have been misidentified but also the legality of foraging. Do you know the laws on foraging in your country? Are the laws different in the states in comparison to, say, the UK? Does anyone have tips or books about identifying what's safely edible?

    Foraging can save someone a lot of money.

    People who live in the countryside can find a lot of free food if they want to: free fruits, free berries, free mushrooms, free fresh vegetables.
