Has anybody had a really varied experience at different Wlagreen's stores? I always go in there ready to use my coupons and I try to have them in order and everything lined up. At one store it never fails that the cashier will get very grumpy with me. She calls the manager over every darn time and the two that I have encountered in this store are just as crabby as her! After much eye rolling and double checking, they usually do allow my purchases but it is not a very fun trip. On the other hand, my other Walgreens is lovely. The cashiers are so sweet and always stop to ask after my children. I would ony shop at the nice store but the only thing is they usually run out of the items that are on sale each week.
Nope. I can honestly say that I've shopped in Walgreens in three different states and they are all pretty consistent in their behavior and professionalism. The stores are usually well stocked, huge and they'll carry things before the other big chain pharmacy stores. I've never had a complaint at Walgreens from the deep South, South and the North.
I don't like Walgreens, but I will say they are usually very consistent. I will say that the consistency is generally not of the good variety - the employees are rude even if the shelves are stocked.
We must be lucky with the Walgrens in our area, all three of them are consistenly nice! They are each in separate towns and not too close to each other. I like the one that is closest to where I work because it is a lot less crowded than the other two. It makes it much quicker to get in and out of there.
I know what you mean with the varying styles of customer service provided at Walgreens. I have one around the corner from my home and the Pharmacy there is quick and friendly. Im usually in and out within 5 minutes. On the other hand there is the Walgreens by my mother's house which I rarely visit (unless I absolutely need something) and the Pharmacy here is a nightmare!!! It's an ensured wait of 20 minutes minimum, they can never find your prescription under your name so they have to look into the system using alternate information and they usually have either the wrong amount or its priced incorrectly because they didn't read your insurance information carefully enough to charge you the right amount. I've also noticed that at the one by my mother's house the cashier goes out of her way to find coupons FOR YOU even if you didnt bring them and at the one by my home you have to know what coupons are available at the moment because no one will tell you. I guess it depends on the worker more than anything.
I would give Walgreens the rating of fair. I often wonder why some cashiers, regardless the store behave like this. Is that they don't know how to get the deals you are getting? Or Is it they are afraid some how they are doing it wrong and may somehow get in trouble? It's not just Walgreens though. I have also experienced this at certain CVS's.
I have yet to experience that at my Walgreens. Most of the workers are pretty consistent at being nice. It's not super busy in there either so they have no problem helping out with anything I need.
