Burritos are my favorite with the really involved nachos closed behind - I mean meat, bacon, several kinds of cheese, some greenery, sour cream, guacamole, and blue corn chips.
I love meaty bean burritos too! But why blue corn chips specifically? I find that the colour doesn't actually change the taste personally, whether it's green red or the standard yellowish tint.
I love burritos, fajitas and burrito bowls. As for restaurants, my absolute favorite is Chippottle. I think they have fresh food for an accessible price!
I probably love tacos most of all, but honestly, since most of their dishes are comprised of pretty much the same ingredients, I kind of love them all. If I could order or eat just one, though, I'm definitely having tacos. Lots of it.
My favorite used to be fajitas. Two weeks ago, I tried a tamale for the first time. Now, tamales are my favorite Mexican food. I really love Mexican food. I could eat it every day and not be bored.
I'm totally happy with some steak soft tacos, loaded up with sliced medium rare ribeye steak and some fresh shredded iceberg, and fresh pico de gallo, and a little shredded sharp cheddar. I also really love a deep fried steak burrito, especially when they top it with that cheesy white sauce. I only eat those once in a while though because I don't even want to know how bad they are for me, lol. At Taco Bell, I'm a total sucker for their cheesy potatoes. I will sometimes order two or three of them for myself since one is usually not enough. I like Chipotle, but their burritos are a little too big for me. Leftovers don't usually work so well since the burrito kind of falls apart. But if I eat the whole thing in one sitting, I'm usually way over stuffed.
My fave Mexican food would be tacos. My mom used to make homemade tacos when she was still alive, and that was the start of my liking for tacos.
I love making tacos at home. That is a standard dish in our home. I usually order a chimichanga or burrito when I am eating out at a Mexican restaurant. I don't think you could ever go wrong with a chimichanga!
Tamales are my favorite as well. They have to be mexican tamales. Corn husk, cornmeal, pork and red sauce. Central American tamales are weird to me. They use a banana leaf, and fill it with stuff that has bones and vegetables in it. Definitely not cool I actually have a customer who is going to make me a couple of batches of mexican tamales. I cant wait!
My favorite Mexican food is tamales. I'm half Hispanic, every year one of my aunts will make a bunch load of tamales and give them out to the family it's the best thing ever. There are many, many different varieties of tamales. Most commonly, they come wrapped inside corn husks or banana leaves, depending on where they originate. Making tamales is not difficult, but it is a very time consuming process. It can take a whole day to prepare a large batch of tamales. To save time you can prepare the dough and fillings on one day and wrap and steam them on the next. They will keep well in the refrigerator for a few days or you can freeze them for up to 3 months in an airtight container. Traditionally a tamal is served plain, as is. Just pull off the corn husk and enjoy. Or you can place them on a plate and top them with a sauce. For example, green chile sauce for pork or chicken, or a red chile sauce for beef. Sometimes tamales are served in the corn husks, and sometimes they are opened and removed for you. Does anybody else like tamales?
There's a Mexican restaurant here where we can order fajitas and one plate is enough for my husband and I both! It is awesome! They send a platter piled with steaming meat, onions, peppers, and warm tortillas. They also bring bowls of different toppings. Makes me hungry just thinking about it!
Mexican food is so tasty and there are so many dishes to choose from that making the selection of a sole favorite makes hard to me a decision. However I think by vote goes to quesadillas, which are stuffed with so many different ingredients that make enjoyable eat them at different places and with different salsas or guacamole, and even with sour cream and cheese as topping. Hmm, I feel hungry now, yummy, yummy O a side note, I also like tamales, particularly a variety called "Oaxaqueños."
