I love using drive thru service because more often than not I'd much rather just stay in my car especially If I'm just buying a quick meal to take home. Unfortunately only a few fast food restaurants here offer drive thru service so I'm mostly stuck to the same menus if I wanted to get something and quickly go home. Most of the time I'd have to go down and actually wait. Which drive thru restaurants are your favorites?
About the only thing drive through I ever do anymore is the pharmacy at Rite-Aid. I rarely pick up anything to take home and if I do it's usually a pizza. I can't imagine there not being many drive throughs where you are, though. It seems like every fast food restaurant where I'm at has them and usually they are so full it's quicker to go in anyway.
I like the Sonic approach. I'm not madly in love with their food or anything I just like the way they have the spot & service. It's retro & I find that cute. I'm not a huge fast food fan generally speaking.
I would have to vote as Little Caeser's Pizza as my favorite. You can get a pizza for just 5 bucks!!!! Also we love the crazy bread. I have tried the buffalo wings too, however I don't think they are the greatest.
It's classic and kind of old school but I still love ordering from the McDonald's Drive-Thru. It's fast and the waitig period isn't that long. You can get your order in no time now matter how large it is. I just hope McDonald's would add more to their menu. There seems to be a lack of variety. It's always burgers and chickens.
I don't have a car, so I'm not particular with drive-thru's, and I just review the menu of every fast food that offers a delivery service. I prefer Wendy's, KFC, Mcdonald's and Jollibee.
I like Carl's Junior, burger king and McDonald's, but I try not to do too much drive thru eating. If I did it as much as I want for the convenience, I would be as big as a house. I cook dinner as often as I can and try to bring snacks to work so I'm not starving all day.
Wendy's is one of my favorites and I went through the drive thru recently to get frostys. I was in the car with other people so somebody else was driving and we had a fun day. I ordered a small chocolate frosty and that was it for me then went home and it was delicious. I like going to a drive thru and it can be Burger King, McDonald's, or Starbucks.
Though their food quality has gone downhill in recent years, I would say in terms of speed and keeping the lines moving along, Wendy's is still pretty good with that ad just about every location I go to. They must do better training of their employees to keep the lines from getting too backed up. Though it's not a drive thru place (thought they should have one!), Jimmy Johns is also super fast at ringing you up and giving you your order. They don't mess around when you walk in there, you can see all the employees have a sense of urgency. I like that because it kind of sets the tone for all the customers, so they don't fiddle around and take their good old time when placing an order. There's a sense of, if you don't know what you want, then get the hell out of line until you do, lol. Among the worst would be Burger King and Taco Bell. I almost always get stuck waiting forever at both places. What really drives me nuts with Burger King is I used to work at one as a teenager, so I know how they operate in the kitchen, and there is no reason I should be sitting in the drive thru lane for like 15-20 minutes waiting like that. Taco Bell, in addition to being slow, almost always manages to screw up my orders. It's always hit or miss as to what's going to be in the bag when I pull off.
I love the convenience but the problem is that I don't eat much fast food anymore. The only place I eat that has drive-in service is In and Out. Love their burgers but the selection is limited so I don't go often.
The only time I go to a drive thru s when I get a craving for Taco Bell. I usually just have my food delivered, it's really easier that way. Anyway, I pass by a Taco Bell when I'm going to and coming home from work, so sometimes I get tempted.
Here in Canada we have Tim Hortons, aka our best bet to pure greatness. Other than that I usually go through the Burger King drive-thru for milkshakes. I don't like ordering food because I always think they do a less good job when the customer can't complain (as much) when in their car. I don't have to worry at Tim's though, that place is great. Have any fellow posters been to Tim Horton's?
Best drive thru for me is McDonalds. They services are great and fast. I find no problem whatsoever about the quality of service they are offering. I love McDonalds. HEHE.
I love getting frosties through drive thrus as well because they are just small orders that would be impractical to get in line for. I also do this for all the other sweet desserts and drinks from McDonald's and other local fast food chains here because it's much more convenient. Unfortunately Wendy's restaurants in our area don't have drive thrus anymore so I can't buy from them as often.
