Raising your own chickens is very economical. You get free eggs as well as cheaper poultry meat. It does has its own overhead expense, mainly food and shelter. Is there some more ways we can reduce the cost of raising chickens without sacrificing a lot in terms of quality of meat and eggs? With regards to food, for example, can we reduce the amount of fed food by changing their breeding environment?
