I have ordered from both websites, but only once on eBay. Currently, I'm more satisfied towards Amazon since their customer support is very good. They solve problems pretty quickly. I've bought multiple things from Amazon, and each order was pretty clear on when they will ship it. They never shipped it late so far, only the time when they didn't ship it at all. So overall, I think Amazon is better in my opinion.
Hmm, I've never even heard of postmark, I'll have to check that out. That's extremely high praise for a site to have more luck than both ebay and amazon! Thanks to you and all for responding to my thread, it's very educational.
I would have to say Amazon, mostly because of their customer support, which never let me down when something wrong happened to my orders.
I love both Amazon and Ebay.. But I rather choose Ebay because there are so much cheap Items than Amazon
I like amazon because the things I need most I buy from amazon very easy, here in aged home we order medicine or sometimes fresh fruits items it is always their priority to deliver such things very fast and 100% sure in quality.
eBay and Amazon are kind of identical in terms of what they do, but their niches are completely different. The target audience for eBay can range from one item to a thousand items, and so on that you may bid on. Amazon is limited to the items that are already being sold, and usually by established companies. Prices are firm and set.
Amazon can beat eBay for price on some products. I recently purchased some natural deodorant from Amazon because it was cheaper than the sellers on eBay. They also offer a free delivery service on many items and that's a nice bonus. I still do most of my clothes shopping on eBay, though. I don't think I've ever bought clothes on Amazon.
Amazon the site offers decent prices for small items. But in the terms of big priced items Amazon can kiss it! Their prices for a new desktop PC are $400 and up! You know how crappy PC's are made these days? If they survive past their 2 year warranty it's a miracle. And they want $400+? HA! I've seen some ridiculously priced on e-bay as well. But Amazon takes the cake!
As a buyer, I shop at both. Being a student, I have Amazon Prime at half price and it has been great getting things delivered in 2 days. Sometimes, there are great deals to be found at Amazon that are cheaper than my local grocery store such as pastas, toilet papers and also Asian cup noodles. eBay also has great deals and I often get my music CDs from there. I love Asian pop so getting CDs with the beautiful photobooks is a must for me and EBay does have great deal on it. I just don't like the options where I have to bid and wait.
I buy and sell both on Ebay and Amazon and the winner by a large margin is Amazon. Yes, it is more expensive to sell at Amazon and they don't accept everyone as a seller, but you can sell more expensive there too. Buyers can buy with confidence knowing they won't get ripped off. At Amazon you can compare other sellers prices as you are adding your product. Buyers can see all the different prices and condition of items from all sellers to better make a buying decision.I like that Amazon basically handles everything for you as far as getting payment from the buyer. No sending invoices or payment reminders. No waiting forever to get paid. Just about all the work is done for you. You get the price you ask for. Ebay is like a home garage sale, where everyone wants to buy everything for a nickel or a quarter. When I'm looking for quality & great customer service, I go to Amazon. If I can't find it there, then I go to Ebay.
I've never heard of Postmark. Could you tell us a little more about it and how it works? If you're having more luck with it compared to Ebay & Amazon put together, I definitely would like to know more about it.
Amazon for buy E-bay for sale That's what I'm doing and I'm so pleased.I do not buy on e-bay, amazon its for me better.
I don't sell at all so I can't say from that end but for shopping I tend to go with Amazon more often.
I like both for buying. Amazon is easier for me to buy from and for some reason I trust it more, but I do buy from Ebay. I prefer to sell on Ebay.
Another feature I like about eBay is the make a best offer option. It's good for both sellers and buyers. I think Amazon should add features like this to entice more customers. Being able to 'bargain' the price is very enticing for buyers. I know I am much more likely to buy an item if I can make an offer for it.
I recently had to return something to Amazon. In all my years of buying from them, this was the first time that I've ever received a broken item. Anyway, returning it was easy and the refund took 2 days. I was thinking that if I'd bought a broken item on eBay it would have taken a lot longer to resolve the problem.
