No, that's not counting PayPal. PayPal will take off another flat fee and percentage, heh. 10 bucks off of almost 100 really isn't that much, to be fair, but when you shrink that down to much smaller amounts, you're getting flat fees + % off every single small amount, too, so it feels like even more.

I have sold a couple items on ebay in the past, but I barely made anything off of this by the time I paid for the shipping. But if I increased the shipping, then I wasn't competing with the big sellers who can afford to offer the cheap shipping prices.

As a shopper, no I have never purchases anything off of ebay. But I am a got to see it and feel it before buying it kind of person. I rarely buy online, depends on the item.

I am with you on wanting to see and/ or feel something before buying it. I have been deceived many times by either the size or quality of something by buying it online without seeing it first. What I have done is find something online, then go to find it in a store, then to back online and find it for a cheaper price.

I love ebay. You have to shop around for the deals on ebay. You can find some really good deals. I have found some that weren't very good but for the most part, you can get some good buys. I have used ebay as a buyer and a seller. I have sold a couple of bikes, a snowmobile, a car, a lot of video games, air hockey game and so much more. I have bought an abdoer at an awesome price. I have also bought some stamps and paper for stamping and so much more at some great prices. I would recommend using them but look for the best deals.

I've only used ebay as a buyer so far and have had great experiences, always good customer services and prices.

I have yet to use it as a seller, although i have items i want to sell on there i just have not got around to it.

If you know how to search an item on ebay, you will find the best prices around the Internet for sure. However, it's true everybody must be aware of the shipping costs...

It really seems like the profit earned from selling through ebay is way too little. Summarizing, if you sell one product at $100, after ebay's and paypal's fees, how much money would you receive?

I don't. I guess I just don't trust that my product will be sent once the person receives payment. Maybe I will have to try and buy something cheap to test it out.

I'm in the minority here. I've had too many bad experiences with ebay to ever give them the "greatest store" ever monicker. Maybe things have changed since I've used it oh so long ago, but I'm not interested in giving them another go around.

You have to give it a try, you won't regret. If you don't receive what you bought, you can always make a dispute on paypal and get your money back. I'm sure you will lose your fear after a couple of orders.

There are always some bad and unreliable sellers, like everywhere. The best thing to do to know if the seller if reliable or not, is to read the feedback. This will always help you to know about the seller, I recommend you to spend a lot of time reading the feedback.

I used eBay once and I am happy about it and I have a friend who sold many things when she broke up, but I have to say that it is not all that good, so like everything else online, you should double check things. Other than that, it is a descent site and a very popular one

eBay is the place to go when I am looking for a deal or something that I know that I can't find in a brick and mortar store. it's amazing to see some of the things that are listed. Just as anyplace else, you have to be sure that you are dealing with a reputable seller.

I use it so much that sometimes I buy stuff I don't need only because they are cheap! You can see how trusted is the seller and most of them are so kind! The only problem is that the pictures sometimes are not real. They just take a picture from other site and post it and the reality most of the time is sooo different.

I have been using ebay for 8 years now. I like the availability of random items, and the little things you can find that aren't in stores locally. Last year I needed a new starter for m car. I have 3 auto parts stores in a 1 mile radius and they told me I would have to wait a week for it to be ordered or they wanted 170 or more. I searched ebay and found the starter I needed for $80, free shipping, and one state away. I ordered it at 1pm on Tuesday and received the starter at 4pm Wednesday. My mechanic replaced my starter the same day, an I was back on the road. I am glad I used ebay for my purchase.

I use it every now and then.

It has a competitive advantage over other services because of its large user base. I've never both from an auction though, I always go for the "buy now", perhaps its time I try it out.

Even though I have NEVER used E bay they still manage to send me a email out every 2 to 3 months about charges on my account! I call the CS and they say we can't help you and to just forward the email to some kind of support for phishing. Either way I'm very turned off by E-bay.

I love Ebay! Haha! But with regards to purchasing, I haven't purchased anything internationally only those that are dealers who are located inside the Philippines. Reason why? It would be too much a hassle to have it reshipped, ask for refund, and everything else if it was purchased internationally.

I like it a lot for shopping. I've had more good experiences there than bad. But for selling ... not so much. Those fees just kill your final price.

I admit though that I do use Amazon a lot more often now. I have a Prime membership so it's tempting to look for everything on Amazon before I look for it on Ebay because of the quick shipping.

I love to shop on ebay! I usually buy movies from there (especially hard to find ones!) and sometimes personalized items. This week I am going to buy an edible cake image that can be customized for my son's birthday, on ebay. For this past christmas I bought my son a train table and I found a seller from Hong Kong that was selling the Thomas trains for dirt cheap! These trains are $8-$20 in store and I bought over 20 trains from him for $4-6 each with shipping! These trains were authentic but were told that they may have scratches on them. Out of the trains I bought only 1 had a scratch on them and since my son was 2 and would bang these trains up in no time, it was no big deal for me. I love ebay!
