I definitely shop at them. I wouldn't buy anything there that I expect higher quality of, though. So you won't see me buying any clothing or electronics there because that's not really what they're known for. I would buy batteries, light bulbs, toiletries, etc, and not have any issues instead.

I haven't been to a Dollar General of Family like in over a year! I do like shopping there but I guess I just have not had time. I think the clothes are about the same quality as Walmart. Now Dollar Tree I do love, I usually just go when I want to fill up on candy or buy some stuff to entertain my kids with for a while.

Well it would be one thing if they carried products that were trusted name brand products, but all too much of it, well most of it, is made in Chinese sweatshops and is quite shoddy. This is the reason why i tend to support trade tariffs so we can start selling American products again.

I have access to all those stores and I love them dearly. I like the dollar store for batteries, pudding, snacks, and cheap pills/vitamins/medical supplies. I like family dollar for detergents, certain monthly supplies, and household items. I like Dollar Tree for cups, plates, books for trips, and supplies for thanksgiving like foil, disposable pans, and the like. Overall there is a definite overlap, but each has its own benefits and they are all so very useful.

I usually only shop at the dollar store when I'm tight on money. The quality of their products isn't that good, so I will only buy junk food from there. I prefer to shop at a name brand store like Target, Costco, or Ralphs. When I go to the dollar store it's a little messy people have thrown things everywhere in the isles. It's an okay store, but if I don't have to go there I won't. I only shop there in an emergency, otherwise I will shop somewhere else.

We have a nice small one that is ran by a local lady. She has some really good household items in there for really cheap. It is a good place to get party and holiday items as well. I don't usually buy food from any of the dollar stores in our area. I've had some bad experiences with that before. Overall, we have several dollar stores to choose from but my favorite is still the small one.
