I don't just have to try it if I must be strong and active throughout the day at the office. I find that taking heavy food at home before going to work doesn't work out fine for me. It makes me feel dizzy most times at work. What I do these days is just to get a cup of tea plus two or three slices of bread before leaving. At work, during break I go for the normal heavy meal of the day. I sometimes have to leave home with my already cooked food to be taken during break at work.
My work is more on supervisory and administrative one. I have to catch a transportation vehicle in going to my place or work. I usually wake up six in the morning, take a morning shower, and take my cup of cooked oatmeal mixed with milk or chocolate and then a piece or two of banana. Then I am ready to take off for a work. During break time, I eat piece of bread and drink juice. During lunch time, I eat enough cooked rice, some fishes, and sweets with mineral water to drink.
I am also conscious with the food that I eat because I observe my eating time due to my stomach issues - I have gastritis and acid reflux so it is not good for me to go hungry at times. In the morning, I have to eat a heavy breakfast of either rice or bread. But when I am hurrying to leave the house, I eat breakfast outside or buy in a drive-thru. We are also rice eaters although sometimes I have bread for meals. As what my doctor said, it is better to be conscious with my food than spend more for medicines (and doctor's fees).
I never feel like having meals in the morning. I feel a little sick and if I do eat, I start feeling like I want to throw up after moving around. What I do is eat/drink a few grapes, an apple, a banana, lemon juice and an orange almost every morning. That gives me enough energy for 5 hours of landscaping. You don't necessarily need heavy food. You need energy and fruits give just that.
I do. I find it eating heavy meals on breakfast effective on keeping me full of energy for the whole day when I come to the office. Sometimes, even if I skip my lunch I do still feel full, maybe because I eat full loads of protein and oats in the morning before coming to work. At night, I just take light snacks or meals since I don't have to use much energy when I sleep.
I usually don't have heavy meal before work because after some time I will be feeling very sleepy and will not be able to concentrate on my work. So I will strictly stick on to eating more vegetables and energetic foods as far as possible.
I usually don't eat breakfast since I don't get hungry until noon but in the rare occasions I eat breakfast I usually drink a glass of milk with a banana otherwise I feel sick if I take a bigger meal. When lunch time comes I take a bigger portion of food so I can have energy until dinner with a little snack in between.
I work from home however I make my husbands breakfast and lunch, we find it best to have a small breakfast, I usually make small things like burritos, waffles, up ahead of time freeze them and they can be heated, grabbed and took with him (he drives an hour to work), Then for lunches I usually make meals that are protein packed and veggie packed (like broccoli, chicken rice stir fry topped with some peanuts on top, and with a banana on the side, or black bean, tomato, pepper burritos which I also make these a head of time and freeze that way he can grab them and heat them up at work at lunch time. Also at the beginning of the month I make a pack of food for him to take to work to keep at work in case he forgets his lunch, this consist of tuna, crackers, canned fruits, granola, a few cans of soup, and things like that. I try to focus on veggies, and proteins more though to help him stay energized throughout the day and for he isn't starving when he gets home (and we can have a lighter supper).
I try to load up, but I would say that I also try to avoid anything too heavy. If I have my pick I do like to go high fiber, but that is rare that I get the chance to think about that much. A big bowl of cereal usually does the trick, and a banana.
Yes I do because breakfast at about 8.30 in the morning is my heaviest meal of the day. I don't care even if I do not get a regular meal during lunch but I can live on fruits and snacks. I eat light at dinner so I can say I eat heavily during my breakfast.
I hardly ever have my breakfast due to lack of time but when I do have time I can eat anything in yhe morning from English breakfast to rice and curry. I am totally not choosy and eat whatever is available. However, I have noticed that when I do have breakfast I temd to get hungry earlier than my usual lunch time.
I never miss two things in my life, one- my morning workouts and my heavy breakfast. You never know with my kind of field job you would get a chance to have your lunch or not. So a heavy breakfast is must for me which keeps me fit and going. Besides you eat something after a gap of 10-12 hours so you must not overlook its importance.
