If you are like me you tend to pick up plants at the nursery in four or six packs. I also will pick up a thing a two that I hadn't planned on buying. When I get back to the garden, I look at the planting instructions and have nowhere near enough space for planting everything. I usually end up either scrunching them in or placing them in some obscure place where I hope they will grow.

What do you do with your extra plants?

My husband and I made a porch garden last year with our extra plants. It turned out better than we expected.

I never over purchase on plants, but I do however purchase way too many seeds. You can never have too many seeds and I always save them for the next season.
Any ways I guess we all over purchase things just to make sure we have enough. :D

Nope, I don't. As much as I love a green scenery but I well know that over crowding is going to cause mosquito problems. My dad however loves to buy a lot of plants. He buys all kinds of plants and puts them at the porch. Now, the front of my house looks like a mini forest because it get's really dark sometimes. :p

I don't overbuy plants, but I overbuy things like plant pots and gardening tools when they go on sale. I recently moved and ended up giving away a lot of plant pots because they won't all fit on my balcony.
Now when I see those closeout racks with the marked down plant pots and jars of rooting hormone for $1, I walk the other way. I've learned my lesson.
