I think that a little spice to food never hurt anyone and i love adding and experimenting with a lot of spices to my foods.
I'm not a big fan of spicy food, but I enjoy it every once in a while. I prefer the spiciness level to be just right, though, and I never liked extremely spicy foods, as I think those just tend to drown out all other flavors and I don't see much point in it.
I love love love spicy food I have to have something spicy at least once a week. I'm Hispanic so I grew up on spicy food so of course as I got older I loved it even more.
I am also one of those people who love spicy food but sometimes when something is too spicy it has a bad effect on my skin and just on my taste buds. I always try to limit the amount of spices I eat because I have a slight allergic reaction where I just turn red every now and then(haha).
Nothing that I consume seems to not be spicy. So, either that alerts me to a problem I have or it is just a problem everyone else in the world needs to have. I try to get a new set of hot sauces every month. I also try to get a new set of hot accessories like a different type of jalapeno pepper. I also try out things I know will be hot but have never tried. Recently? A large bottle of chiltepe (which I stemmed and returned to the jar only to find my hands were on fire). I love them.
It depends on what cuisine I prefer. I used to eat spicy food, but I don't eat it as much now because spicy food makes my face feel warm. I like Thai food, which has a lot of spice because that's the main reasoned item. I can eat spicy food as long as only it's moderate.
I really love spicy food! I even carry hot sauce around every now and then if I think a place won't have any. It's so good, I love the flavor it gives my food. I try not to get to crazy with it though because sometimes it'll make me feel a little sick when I've had too much spicy food. LOVE & DEALS DH
I do love some spicy foods, however as much as I like to think of myself as a good spice "handler", I am totally not! I'm ok with regular spicy Indian or Thai food, but for example for Mexican I have a lower tolerance to spices. I like my burritos plain, with just guacamole and sour cream, no extra spices!
I like spicy foods but I have a maximum spice level. If it's too hot for me, I start to get all sweaty and choke, so I know if my body will accept something the moment they touch my lips. A lot of the Indian foods that I've had, have too much spice in them and I can't digest them properly so I'm extremely picky when it comes to spicy food.
If by spicy you mean hot, I only really enjoy moderately hot food. I like a little bit of heat - in fact even prefer it over none at all. But the stuff that knocks your socks off I can't get into at all. Otherwise, I don't like stuff with too many different spices (cinnamon, cumin, etc...) all at once since the flavors become kind of muddy to me. I would rather have a simpler composition of just a few different flavors interacting with each other.
I like spicy and hot food both. But I wouldn't say it never hurt anyone, I'm pretty sure there were multiple deaths related to overly hot food.
I absolutely love spicy food. Because of that, I experiment a lot with Caribbean and Indian spices. I'm always trying to re-create what I eat in restaurants. I especially like curry chicken, jerk chicken, spicy Jamaican patties, samosas, chicken masala... I also like North African / Arab spices. But I haven't had the chance to experiment with them much. It's a little harder and more expensive to buy them. But one day, I will dive in...
I love spicy foods but i think i have my limits and if things went too far i would no longer enjoy the food and have to add different things to make my food taste great. But it is true that a little spice never hurt anyone.
I actually dislike spicy foods, I always buy the non-spicy junk food or choose the non-spicy chicken or sauce, etc. I have a low tolerance for anything spicy, and my tongue and ears feel this burning sensation when I consume moderately spicy foods, while I noticed that those people who love spicy foods don't seem to be affected at all. So with that said, I avoid eating them.
I'm from the south (America) so of course I love spicy foods! Always needs to be a kick to my food! It's funny, growing up I would often get ulcers from eating too many spicy foods. But not anymore.
I love spicy foods. They are my favorite. Well, if I have something to wash it down with, anyway. I can't eat a lot of spicy foods at once though, because naturally, I get a belly ache and sometimes heart burn. They are my first choice, but I know that many people, my boyfriend being one of them, cannot handle spicy foods and avoid them.
It seems like everything I put into my face is spicy. I love it. The hotter the better. However, everyone in my house does not share my love. One, in particular, does not like anything spicy at all so I have to make a point to add spice later in the meal to my own. It's frustrating but I'll get that spice no matter what!
Yes I love spicy food. I don't know why but I just do. I wish I had some spicy food now. That would really make my day. I need to look up some new spicy recipes.
