One of the worst ways to spend money is pay someone to mow your lawn for you. Not only is the exercise good for you but you also save some money if you do it yourself. How do you guys save money when it comes down to making your lawn look good? Blackmail your son to do it free?
When I rented a first floor apartment that had grass around it, I just used a weed trimmer to cut the grass myself. The weed trimmer only cost me $28 at Home Depot and I could easily lift it and trim my small lawn without help. I left it behind when I moved out because my current apartment has maintenance guys that cut the grass.
By buying a £40 push mower. I'm set for a decade or longer now. I know a few people who works as gardeners and it's sup[rising how many of their clients are not disabled or pensioners. I can understand some people need to pay others to tend to their gardens but if you are fit an healthy it seems such a waste of money.
I have a very large yard, made up of several lots, so I pay someone to mow it. We have a friend with mowers and a tractor and we pay him to mow all of the property a few times per year. I use a trimmer for the area around the house and around my garden area. I've never owned a lawn mower and, frankly, this yard is too much for me to handle. I live in the southern U.S. and it gets really overgrown fast so I don't mind paying for the help.
I wish my son would fall for this , I have to brive him just to do it, But I have this favorite uncle that will come mow for me whenever I dont feel like doing it, Which is always, so he comes and does it and I pay him 40.00 he does a great job with my yard.
Depends on the area that needs mowing. When I grew up we had a HUGE yard and garden with trees and bushes so we had someone do the work for us and payed not with money but with the grass itself since he had animals to feed. Now I live in a small flat but if I had a house with just s small yard I would do the mowing myself. Great way to save money and do some outdoor exercise!
