There is one thing I am really good at making from scratch and that's Bread Pudding. I make it the old fashioned way with bread, eggs, cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract and raisins. Sometimes I'll skip the raisins and sometimes I substitute them with strawberries. I want to learn how to make red velvet cake as good as The Cheesecake Factory's. I want to learn how to bake cake from scratch period and perfect it to my liking. Moist with that undeniable homemade flavor. Just gotta find the time to try.
My daughter enjoys baking, which is great because it saves a lot of money. I try to buy baking mixes instead of cookies or cakes. Sometimes I still buy them but only on occasion.
