Pizza Hut has a program that allows you to order online for delivery. ("So do LOTSA places!" I know, but this is about Pizza Hut.)

    They offer some

, including 'the $5 Flavor Menu' (a selection of items you can order for $5-a-piece ... "if you order at least two," they say). But there are at least a couple things they don't tell you (not right-away anyway).

Of course you know the fact that there's a certain charge for delivery (about $3), which I don't think goes 'to the delivery-boy'---i.e. it's not 'a tip,' it goes to Pizza Hut (and they pay for the cars & their maintanence ... or not, I dunno).

I learned that one a few years ago when I was a poor boy in college. I had 'a coupon or something' for a $10 pizza (or something), and was disappointed when I found out that that means the final charge is actually something like $14. (And maybe they were just-starting their online order-form.)

The main thing--something I just learned today (since maybe they just recently started doing it)--is that 'your order' (i.e. just the charge for the food, not 'the final total (including tax & the delivery charge)') has to be $10.99! Yes, that's 99 cents more than two $5 orders.

That hit me like trying to walk through a shut door you thought was open!

I've switched from Papa John's to Pizza Hut recently. I find that the online deals are almost the same, and Pizza Hut pizza is just better.

Pizza Hut does NOT pay to maintain cars. I think they reimburse for gas only, honestly. Likely there aren't any pizza delivery places that pay their drivers for car maintenance.

Also - they aren't hiding those fees. They post them right there in your "Confirm order and pay" page. The main thing I wish is that Pizza Hut had a rewards system like Papa John's, where you get free pizza for being a loyal customer.

Well there are taxes and delivery fees, that that extra 99 cents isn't really that big of a deal. Also, as clairebeautiful stated, they don't have any hidden fees. All of their fees are shown to you right there on the page. I love Pizza Hut, it's the only place I get pizza from, even moreso now that they came out with that menu (although I think it's only for a limited time?). Ever since PH came out with that $5 menu, both Dominoe's and Papa Johns have as well, but Dominoe's is more expensive (5.99) and their food isn't as good either.

I live out in the boonies, and I am pretty sure that Pizza Hut would not deliver here. I tried ordering delivery from Dominos one time, and they wanted to meet me at a store about 20 minutes away. I might as well just go and pick it up! If Pizza Hut did say they would deliver out here, (not likely) I know they would put some kind of surcharge on it. In fact, I don;t think the PH store that is in the closest town delivers at all.

I always just go to the store and pick up my pizza. Because they don't deliver in my neighborhood. I really like being able to order online though, it's always ready when u pick my order up.
