This dish is an offshoot of the famous Filipino adobo. The ingredients are ½ kilo of string beans, ½ clove of garlic, 2 onions, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 3 tablespoon of vinegar. Wash the string beans and cut into 5-inch pieces. Sautee the crushed garlic and sliced onions. When the onions are wilting, add the vinegar and soy sauce. Let it boil for 1 minute before adding the string beans. Stir for 1 to 2 minutes before harvesting. That’s good to eat with steamed rice.
Well traditionally I have never gone wrong with the simple dishes involving beans and garlic, and so this one I cannot expect to disappoint at all, and I say the more garlic in anything the better. Just gotta have my mints ready.
