I admit that I am brand conscious when it comes to gadgets. I don't want to purchase any substandard product. That's why I go with established brand names like Samsung, Apple, and Sony. I currently prefer Samsung the most.
What kind of gadgets do you mean? If you're talking about small things like electronic accessories or things like that, I definitely don't mind the brand. I usually shop for those things in Chinese stores, and try to get good quality items that I'm not paying because they belong to a popular brand. If we're talking about electronics like cellphones, tablets, consoles, etc., then I do care (a lil' bit) about the brand. I prefer to have something that at least has a name on it, especially for Android devices. When I'm looking for a new ROM, I have to make sure to get one that will work on my device, and if it doesn't have a name, then there's no way to be sure (at least not that I'm aware of).
Particularly I don't consider myself a lover of brands. My technological products don't follow a specific line because there are many factors involved in its acquisition. Maybe I have a certain attraction for Samsung products, but there isn't an obsession with that particular brand. Anyway, I think it's interesting to have certain preferences, is fun. In short, before evaluating the brands I have in mind other factors that I consider most important.
I am very brand conscious when it comes to electronics and gadgets. I don't like no-name electronics. I have never had a good experience with them. It well worth it for me to pay a few extra dollars for the brand name.
I'm not really that brand conscious but when it comes to gadgets, I tend to become one. Since they are pricey, I go for well established brands that can last long. Plus branded ones really are the best when it comes to gadgets. With laptops, I go for Asus, Lenovo, Dell and Apple. Guaranteed satisfaction with this brands.
I have no specific preference for any one brand. I usually just go with what ever I find to be reliable, yet cheap, especially when purchasing big ticket items that need research anyways. To limit yourself to one or two manufacturers means that you are doing a disservice to yourself, as this limits what your options are. There is one exception that I have to this rule though, which is Apple. I almost never consider them.
I like a good dependable brand when it comes to electronics and shoes. Anything else doesn't matter so much, such as clothing because I'm not a fashionista. Electronics because they are expensive and I want a dependable company to make them and shoes because comfortable feet are happy feet so I only buy good quality (expensive) brand name.
I am in certain areas. IE Cameras I am a long-time fan of Nikon. In computers, every computer I have owned has been a Mac. I think I am pretty much locked in to Macs. I guess I have a level of comfort with Macs. But I did work on a Dell laptop for about six months and have to say I got pretty comfortable with it. And yes I admit there is a price difference. The last computer I bought was a desktop Mac used and I could have probably grabbed a good laptop new for that so I guess in some ways I am a brand fan. Ryder13
I guess you could say that I'm brand conscious. I avoid brands like Dell or E-Machine due to complications with their products in the past. I seem to be leaning towards Apple Inc and HP products more these days. 2 of the 3 desktop computers I've had in my life were from HP, so I tend to trust them more than any other brand out there currently.
MY Brabd Preferences by Gadget Category: Phone: ZTE is my favorite especially those using their proprietary OS. Netbook: Acer Aspire One tops the List PC and Laptop: I Just love both HP (Laptop) and Dell (Desktop PC)
Yes, because gadgets are expensive these days, and I don't want to waste my money on junk products that I have to replace in a year or less.
It's funny, you know, because I'm not brand conscious when it comes to things like clothes or kitchen appliances, but I am when it comes to electronics. I'm sure it's because of the price and worries that it'll break down at any moment. By purchasing a brand name computer, it'll save you money in the end because you won't have to buy one for a few years. I have a Dell laptop that has lasted me for five years. Unfortunately, it's breaking down, but if I can repair it, hopefully it'll last at least one more year!
I'm brand conscious when it comes to buying things. I mostly buy apple products when it comes to electronics. In my opinion, I don't like buying non-brand products I think they are cheap and they will not last long.
I am not brand conscious when it comes to anything. There are certain brands that seem to be consistent and of better quality than others, but those are becoming fewer and more far between these days. I guess the other part of it is that I am just not buying a lot of stuff anymore. If anything, I could stand to get rid of some things.
I'm not bran conscious when it comes to gadgets like phones, tablets, e-readers etc. But if it includes big things like a TV, a PC or a laptop, I will definitely be sure to check the brand first.
Yes I am when we are talking about electronic gadgets that i intend to use for a long time like cellphones, tv's, laptops. etc. But if a gadget is quite cheap like a tablet then I would probably buy it to test it's quality first, and then if it's a good one then I can say that I'll probably buy another version of the brand again.
I am brand conscious when it comes to gadgets only because of the fact that I will only stick to buying brands that I have had no problem in the past. Therefore when I am searching for a new electronics gadget I usually look at my favorite brands first such as Apple, Panasonic and Sony. I have never had any disappointments with them so I feel that I will be coming back to them often.
I am brand conscious when it comes to upgrading my GPU, HDD, motherboard, PSU, webcam, camera, phone, PC screen. Those things that I want to know will last me past their warranty expiration date or even if they break during that period I know where I can find an authorized service that will fix them and the parts won't be hard to find. I base my brand choices on internet reviews, recommendations from friends and personal experience. I never look at the brand when I'm buying a new DVD-rw or a headset because those things seem to break pretty fast no matter how much you use them. Upgrading a PC and peripherals or gadgets like phones and tablets costs quite a bit of money these days so I find it normal to be brand conscious as I want to have at least the promise of long lasting products.
I am not really someone who is brand conscious. But I would say that I'm very particular when it comes to shoes. I trust branded ones when it comes to shoes but I can't afford to have that part of my body be in pain just because the quality of the materials are poor.
