Has anyone found anything really great? Aside from some electronic deals, most of the small appliances, toys and clothing I've looked at is the same price it always is. I was hoping for some really great deals. Either I'm at the wrong stores, or I need to wait for prices to drop more.

I got shipping costs and sales tax knocked off of a purchase of about 100 DVDs. If that counts for anything.

Yes, it does seem as if many store are putting emphasis on giving deal on electronic products more then anything else during black Friday. But, maybe cyber Monday or as its now being called cyber Week will be different. To be honest I don't participate in either one because I can't really afford to. However, if I could I would probably prefer cyber Monday more, because your not dealing with long lines, and crowds.

I bought a bunch of tees from Threadless. They're having 50% off all t-shirts (they're usually $20, now $10) and they have free shipping within the US and also free international shipping if you reach a certain amount for your order (I think it's $49 for the US, and $75 for international shipping). I found it to be a great deal because I've bought from them before and their clothing is of great quality, and they have some great designs.

I absolutely hate going shopping in crowded areas. Drives me insane, I just can't think straight! The best way I have saved money is by participating in Cyber Monday. I visit my favorite stores websites and sign up for the email list. This way I am never out of the loop when it comes to a sale. I can't tell you how many emails I received first thing Monday morning informing me of when the sales were happening, what promotions were going on, and which coupon codes I could use at check out!

That's funny you mentioned the emails on Ctber Monday. I'd forgotten about that. I think I had four emails from Macy's before 11:00 AM. Kohls was also pretty bad, and it's the same sale all day. I don't know why they have to send more than one email.

Because that email they sent you in the morning? You might've forgotten about it come 12 pm. So they send another as a reminder.:)

I got some good deals on Amazon and The Body Shop. But I also made my purchases through ebates, so I'll be getting an extra $10 back. I also used an amazon gift-card that I earned on Superpoints (which is sadly no longer running). I spent about $75 on the items, which would have normally been around $120.
